Personal Use of Photographs

In general, you are welcome to take photos and videos for personal use. At this time, we are not permitting large group photos.

Professional or Commercial

A permit is required for professional and commercial photography occurring on City of Seattle Parks and Recreation property. This allows for a better overall experience for park users and avoids unintentional conflicts with events, construction and other uses that might be unknown to a photographer or videographer.

Professional Use of Photo and Video

For all professional photography (classes, photoshoots, etc) in the Conservatory, Parks requires that you use a ceremony application for this indoor space. You can call Seattle Parks & Recreation event scheduling office at (206) 684-4080 x 2, or use the link below to their online application.

Commercial Use of Photo and Video

If you are planning to use the photos for any commercial purpose including but not limited to: brochures, portfolios, TV commercials, magazines, newspapers, websites, social media business pages, etc. you will need to contact the Office of Film + Music to acquire a Seattle Parks & Recreation permit:
