Botanical Drawing
Classes for ages 8-12 or 13-18
Instructor: Genevieve Dolan
Learn botanical drawing techniques using pencil, pens and colored pencils, while exploring the basic botany of the plants in the Conservatory. The first half of each class will be spent in the cottage exploring the medium through drawing exercises and working from close examination of plant specimens. Each class will also explore a botanical aspect.
The second half will be spent working in the Conservatory from direct observation of the plant collection, practicing the skills covered earlier. We will return to the cottage for the last part of class for a wrap up discussion. All materials will be provided.
